Kevin Bonderud

Over the course of four decades, Kevin has performed the full array of communications services -- first on Capitol Hill, then as a partner in a prominent PR firm, and most recently for Tricom clients. Whether it’s raising the profile of an organization and changing the way issues are viewed or activating a group’s members and allies, Kevin has helped dozens of associations, labor unions, corporations, government agencies and think tanks achieve their communications goals. 

The initiatives he has developed and executed have ensured that clients’ messages are heard, they are positioned as recognized and respected authorities, and public perceptions and policy debates are changed.

As a wordsmith, op-eds he has written on behalf of clients have been published in most major newspapers. His other writing has ranged from articles, newsletters and brochures to video scripts, ads and direct-marketing pieces.  

From 1990-2005, Kevin was the senior communications and legislative strategist, media consultant and writer for a Washington, D.C.-based public relations firm Wydmeyer Communications. Heading its public affairs division, he directed communications strategies, national media operations, and major legislative and public education campaigns for clients involved in a wide variety of issues.

Throughout the 1980s, Kevin served as press secretary and chief writer for Rep. Martin Sabo (D-MN). His political campaign experience includes service on Walter F. Mondale’s 1984 presidential campaign and as campaign manager for Sabo’s 1980 congressional campaign in Minneapolis.

A Minnesota native, he is a graduate of Minneapolis’ Augsburg College.
