altLong before subprime mortgage scams made news, and a decade before her extensive work for NeighborWorks America, Michelle Weber was working to support affordable housing and business development in low-income neighborhoods. Her work with LaSalle Bank's CRA department resulted in several successful media relations programs targeting community reinvestment in some of Chicago's poorest neighborhoods. She also worked with Lakefront SRO to launch a 13-organization coalition around the issue of supportive housing for the homeless.

Drawing on more than 15 years of public relations expertise, Michelle has directed numerous successful campaigns and managed major events, developing creative materials and successfully positioning initiatives organizations, including the Chicago Rehab Network, National Training and Information Center, Neighborhood Housing Services of Chicago, American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, American Dental Association and Horizon Hospice. Her reputation for developing team efforts with clients exemplifies the collaborative spirit that distinguishes Tricom’s work.

Michelle directed marketing programs and media relations at Chicago Public Radio WBEZ-FM, and was part of the team that helped launch The McCormick Tribune Foundation and the Kohl Children’s Museum, campaigns that included developing public service announcements using well-known celebrities Ahmad and Phylicia Rashad.

In addition to her innovative work for clients, Michelle has been a guest speaker at Community Media Workshop and has presented public relations workshops to nonprofit organizations around the country. Michelle holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Iowa and has taken MBA courses at the Lake Forest Graduate School of Management.
